Teachers Sharing
I am interested in getting teachers in Bartow County to start sharing lesson plan ideas. Lisa at Taylorsville has given me lots of good ideas and web addresses that have really helped me out when creating lessons for my K-5 technology classroom. I haven't reciprocated much but I plan to do so in the future. I would love to start a community of sharing on this blog. As the saying goes two heads are better than one! What are your thoughts?

This is a great idea. We share lesson ideas at my school but it would be great to have them written down in a place like a blog for everyone to use.
I am concerned about RTI because I'm afraid that there will be many children who really need help right away and several months or possibly years will go by before anything is done to help them become successful. It seems that there is alot of work on the teacher's part such as documentation,etc. I'm sure that all will work out in the end,but it all seems fuzzy right now.
Also, I remembered that today is your birthday. Happy Birthday!
Sounds like a great idea to me! I am always open to new ideas. Like Melanie said we share ideas at our school, but I always love to here from teachers from other schools. Let's work on getting this started.
We did some swapping of CD's with powerpoints and lessons, quizzes, and tests with Cass and later Woodland in the Social Studies department. It was most useful. You could probably get your technology person to set up a page on the school web site for all of the teachers to collaborate.

I think that as busy as everyone seems to be that I teach with, the only way to really have time and an easy way to communicate would be through technology. This is a great idea.
